Black Democrat from Gay Pride Rally for Obama Arrested in Anti-Semitic Arson

Can we have that conversation about black anti-Semitism now? Or anti-Semitism on the left? Or have once again ended up with a story that the media no longer wants to cover?

The man who was arrested for scrawling anti-Semitic graffiti inside a Brooklyn synagogue was an intern for former city council speaker and one-time mayoral candidate Christine Quinn for several years.

Quinn is a lefty Democrat who made history as the first LGBT speaker.

James Polite, 26, was arrested on Friday after hate-filled messages were discovered at the Union Temple in Prospect Heights.

Cops released a surveillance image of the vandal on Friday. He is described as a black man, about 20 years old, 5-foot-8, 140 pounds with black hair.

Not the suspect that the media wanted. So it’s already spinning this as mental illness.

Polite, who met Quinn at a gay pride rally for Barack Obama…

During his time as Quinn’s intern, he worked “on initiatives to combat hate crime, sexual assault and domestic violence,” the Times reported.

And speaking of burying the lede…

In addition to scrawling graffiti inside the synagogue, Polite allegedly lit several fires in the area, including one at another synagogue, law enforcement sources said.

And here’s what James was up to, when he wasn’t fighting hate crimes.

A suspect was in custody on Friday for allegedly scrawling “Kill all Jews” inside a historic Brooklyn synagogue, sources said.

James Polite, 26, is being charged with four counts of criminal mischief as a hate crime in connection with graffiti written inside Union Temple, which read “Hitler,” “Jews better be ready,” “Die Jew rats, we are here!” and “kill all Jews,” according to multiple reports.

He is also being charged with multiple arson fires at Jewish gathering places, including one at a yeshiva and another at a Jewish banquet hall, according to local ABC affiliate WABC.

And this, by the way, is the other infuriating thing.

The stories all emphasize the graffiti at an event featuring a lefty hipster, while burying attempted arson at Orthodox Jewish events.

This is exactly what the New York Times piece I had discussed on Friday noted.
