The Latest Synagogue Shooting Has Nothing To Do With Trump

In an era of political bad faith and media cynicism, the obvious has to be said.

In 1999, Buford O. Furrow, a white supremacist, opened fire at a Jewish Community Center in the Los Angeles area. Five people were shot, including several children.

In 2014,  Frazier Glenn Miller, a white supremacist, opened fire at a JCC in the Kansas City area. The people he ended up shooting were all non-Jewish.

The media did not blame Bill Clinton or Barack Obama for those two shootings, which are a whole lot like the latest synagogue shooting. But the media is full of radical lefty voices trying to blame Donald Trump and even other Jews for the latest shooting by Robert Bowers, a white supremacist, who loathed Trump supporters, and believed that Trump was surrounded by ‘Kikes’.

The three shootings were part of a larger pattern. Attempting to blame them on Trump says everything about the unwillingness of the left to deal with what anti-Semitism is, hatred of Jews, rather than attempts to score political points on behalf of their anti-Semitic movements.
